PEARS

It is a struggle to take good photos of the paintings I've painted in the last month.  This is the best I can do after several tries in different light.

I really got bogged down painting the handle of the cup.  I think I finally got it right, but now the ellipse looks a little off..... and now the ellipse on the jar.  I'm liking the fact that I can fix things more easily with oils than with watercolor.

years ago I saw a series where
a photographer had found relatives of
people who posed for john singer sargent paintings and
he took photos of them that were reminiscent of the original pictures.
they were quite wonderful.

Your still lives are very charming and wonderful. I love the detail and realism in them.

I appreciate your comment, Shelley. I seem to get positive opinions on my watercolors and gouache, but not much about my oils. Its good to know someone finds them worthwhile.... I'm encouraged to get the oils out again.
