CARROTS FROM THE GARDEN

watercolor about 9 x 9 inches

I brought these in from the garden to have for dinner one night and they looked so pretty I started painting them. Different light coming through the window on different days made for some confusing shadows, I used some white paint in the highlights. By the time I finished panting them they were ready for the compost pile.

Thank you Martine and Sandy. Sandy, the carrots were pretty soft after sitting so long. There are plenty more in the garden.

I really like your blue shadows. The blue/orange complementary color palette is so striking in paintings.

These carrots and the pears above are just lovely. Great colors. I will enjoy watching you progress with your oils - very brave of you and I do like your paintings above.
